Swakopmund and Walvis Bay Coastal

This coastal area of Namibia is one of the most visited tourism hubs of the country. Swakopmund is situated in the Namib Desert and is the fourth largest population centre in Namibia. It is a beach resort and an example of old German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South West Africa.

  1. Day 1 Departure from point of origin

    Check-in and choice of activities depending on arrival time.
    Lunch en route; Dinner at restaurant.

  2. Day 2 Optional activities

    Activities to choose from include Welwitschia Moon Valley Tour (full day);
    Living Desert tour(half day);
    Wetlands Birding Tour (full day);
    Topnaar Tour (half day); kayaking up to Pelican Point to share morning with seals, sometimes dolphins, and the vast birdlife that shares this sanctuary;
    Excursion to Sandwich Harbour which is another designated Wetland and forms part of the “Namib Sand & Sea,” which is the first natural site in Namibia to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

  3. Day 3 Return to point of origin
